There hasn't been a blog since last year!

Hi friends! I hope you guys had a great Christmas and New Years. I hope everyone was safe and was able to celebrate with those close to them. I was lucky to celebrate with both my mom and dad this year. I also got to decorate some cookies with my cousin who goes to school in Alabama and so that was fun getting to spend some time with her. I love Christmas time, the sparkly lights, everyone filled with a sense of hope, and just the amount of hot chocolate we get to drink. It really is one of my favorite times of year, so I am so excited to write this month's blog about UTA. I am so thankful for you all supporting me in ministry, I appreciate you all.  My cousin Morgan and I decorating cookies at my grandmas house  Sweet Friendships  I have really been so lucky during this break to get to spend some time with my old friends in Plano. I have been challenged as I have moved to Arlington in maintaining my friendships. I love them a lot and it has been so sweet watching t...

Too Many Things to Be Thankful For

Hi guys! I hope you had a wonderful and restful Thanksgiving! I was able to spend some time with my Mom's side of the family, as well as my brother flew into town from Montana. I was very grateful to have that time with my family, and I thought in the spirit of thankfulness I would share some other things I am thankful for with you guys! I am number one very thankful for all of you and how you support me in ministry, and love me!  Classes and Learning I am thankful for the opportunity to learn and take graduate level classes with some of my favorite people. Here we are after our last Old Testament class. We wrote a final paper on How should a Christian read and use the Old Testament? That was an interesting prompt that wrapped us up for the class!  Extra Family Time The holidays for me mean some extra family time. I was extra blessed this month with my brother coming into town. He is one of my favorite people so I always feel lucky when I get to see him. Then also just w...

A Spooktacular Month at UTA

It has been such a fun time at UTA during the month of October and I am so grateful for each of you and the way you guys support me while I get to meet with college students, and learn more about Jesus. It is such a cool thing and if you ask anyone lately the words that just keep pouring out of my mouth are "I can't believe this my job" or  "this is just such a blessing". I really am just so thankful that God provides us with these opportunities. Sooo let me tell you what we have been up to this month!  BIG NEWS AT FOCUS  Jacob, Stephanie, Jordy, Blake, Austin, Me, Rachael  FOCUS is pioneering on some new campuses this year, one of those being Tarrant County College! This is a community college and it has multiple campuses. We are starting at Northwest and Southeast. Austin Gage a fellow pastor and I are helping to start up at Southeast. These are some of the people we have met this year who have joined a core and are part of meeting weekly to learn more about J...

Do you remember how God was moving in September?

Hi friends and family, thank you so much again for your continuous support and prayers. It is crazy to think that I am now two months into my ten month apprenticeship! I am so excited to tell you guys about this month, I feel like God just showed up so much this month in my life and it was just so cool.  Some of our students and pastors worshipping at Thursday Night Fellowship!     Thursday Night Fellowship         We have been in the middle of an amazing sermon series on how Jesus came to bring life to the full (John 10:10). We had a sermon on Mary and Martha, where Sarah, one of our senior pastors talked about the idea that for Jesus just resting in his presence and goodness, is what he calls us to do. That he told Martha there are many things the world will try to use to pull us away. Ultimately only one thing is needed, it got me thinking of the song, Your The Only One by Chris Renzema which talks about similar ideas!  These ...

SCHOOL IS BACK IN SESSION!

HI FRIENDS!  I am so excited and grateful for you guys! This past month was so eventful and God was really moving at the UTA campus. I can't wait to see what happens with it. The students are finally back in school, and we got to do welcome week this past week. It was so fun and the university put on some amazing events for us to be apart of.  Our staff and students had also recently just come back from a college ministry leadership trip where we all were refreshed and learned more about how to reach out to people and engage with others on a college campus!  These are some of the girls on the UTA campus that  I get to do ministry with this year. Some of them are on our leader team, and others are returning to the ministry! Some of the girls and I doing a hike at the ministry retreat.  WELCOME WEEK! Throughout this past week we were so lucky to have met so many new students! We put on some super cool welcome week events as well as attended many the University put...
